Wood Wick Care

Are you a fan of wood wick candles? Do you want to ensure they burn properly and last longer? Here are some expert tips for taking care of your wood wick candles.

1. Trim the burnt ends of the woodwick using a wick trimmer. If you do not have one, you can use a paper towel and break off the burnt parts ONLY

2. Light the freshly trimmed wick with a match or lighter. Larger flame device allows for the wood to catch better than reusable USB lighters

3. It is possible that the wick will go out soon after it is lit. This is totally normal. Keep lighting the wick until the wood catches. It might take several tries but it will work.

4. Follow the candle care guide above to keep your candle lasting a long time!

5. Enjoy!

Why are Wood Wicks Special?

Wood wicks are known for their crackling sound and unique aesthetic appeal. They are also eco-friendly and can create a cozy atmosphere in any room.

Trim the Wick

Before lighting your wood wick candle, make sure to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This will prevent the flame from getting too large and ensure a clean burn.

Burn Time

When burning your wood wick candle, allow it to burn for at least 2-3 hours to create a full melt pool. This will prevent tunneling and ensure an even burn in the future.

Extinguishing the Flame

Avoid blowing out the flame of your wood wick candle. Instead, use a wick dipper or snuffer to extinguish it. This will help maintain the integrity of the wick for future burns.

Storage

When not in use, store your wood wick candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This will help preserve the scent and quality of the candle for longer.

Cleaning

If you notice any black residue on the inside of the glass container, gently wipe it off with a damp cloth. This will keep your candle looking clean and fresh.

Benefits of Proper Care

By following these tips for wood wick care, you can enjoy a longer-lasting and more fragrant candle experience. Proper care will also ensure a safer and more enjoyable burning process
